Requirements

UCalgary faculty, staff, and students interested in conducting research at one or more of the BSF's sites are required to submit a research request form. At the time of submitting the request, researchers must provide (i) a copy of their funding application or research proposal, (ii) their ethics certificate, and (iii) a letter outlining the study for site leadership. Research studies should align with at least one of the Centre on Aging's strategic priorities to be approved.

Continuing Care

Promote innovation, technology, or knowledge-based implementation within facility-based continuing care settings.

Transdisciplinary

Take a transdisciplinary approach to creating age-inclusive innovations, environments, practices, or policies that also consider intersecting health inequities.

Age-Friendliness

Enhance age-friendliness in ways that respond to the needs and interests of an aging population, including addressing ageism and promoting age-inclusivity.

Research requests are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed by a committee once a month. For questions about the review process, please email Research@TheBSF.ca.
